Now that all the excitement of getting the house we wanted has passed the thought of all the work is sinking in.We have lived in this house for almost 17years so you can guess how much junk we have "stored". I am a hoarder, there I have admited it, but I will de-clutter and sort out stuff because the new house does not have a cellar, or a large loft/attic and my "studio" will now be in a bredroom so some imaginative storage and work sufaces will be required there. The snow has now gone and the sun is out today so I really should go into the garden and sort out what plants I want to take, or I could go into my studio and play, mmmmmmmmm what to do!!!! That is another packing nightmare, my studio, how did I manage to have all that stuff in a 13ft. square area and how will I pack it all ??? We will also be staying with friends for a few weeks after we move while work is being done on the house so I also have to try and sort out little projects to keep me going, my friend Ellis is not a quilter, she does sew but its curtains and clothes so things could be a little difficult. I think I'll have another cup of tea and a think which when translated means I'll do nothing just think about how to pack and pack and pack. Any and all suggestions will be considered.Thank you for visiting.

New House
Yipee we have a new house, the one we REALLY wanted and our move date is May14th. I know that sounds a long way off but beleive me it wil just rush up on me. It needs some work done on it prior to us moving in so we will stay with friends for a month or maybe a little longer.(Is this testing friendship???) until the work in completed. The house has a name, Bellevue and the views are wonderful, and I am very happy today. We have packed quite a bitt already (decluttering) but now we need to start again and also work our what we need to leave out (for staying with friends) and I laso want to do a little sewing so I need to get my thinking cap on. I have sent off the entry forms for Quilts in the Garden, I have put entrering shows on hold but this one is over by May so no ptoblems getting work returned. Today nothing will get me down even this dreadful weather is bearable today.Thank you for visiting.

Cheshire Cat Grin
I have tried to post a photo of a little wall quilt I made. I began with two contrasting fabrics and free cut curved strips then wove them to make the background. I also free cut the "flower" heads and bonded them to the background, the background was then free machined and some fancy yarns were couched down. I added two borders and the backing fabris and there you see it. I like this quilt and have made several smaller ones using the same method, not all floral designed. I still have a few ideas to try with this method and I teach classes using this method so I use mmy wee works as samples. Hope you like the end result.
More news, I have just become a Great Grandma to a baby girl, Paige, she's so new I havent seen her yet, she only arrived today, but Mum and baby are both well.

Sunshine and sadness
Hello again, Yesterday I had an eye test and because I am diabetic they add drops to enlarge my pupils and make my eyes yellow so I look very attractive aferward and find doing anything with a bright light really hard so no computer acton yesreday.
Today the sun is shining but its a sad day as a quilting friend lost her battle with cancer and died, today is her funeral, so while its good to see the sun it has not lifted my sadness. Things like this make you get your priorities in focus and often the things of real value money could never buy. Life is fragile so we need to enjoy each day.
